Welcome to the Biggest Handicap Loser Competition!

Need some incentive to improve your game?  Join your fellow members in a friendly, FREE competition to see if you can become the Biggest Handicap Loser for the 2023 golf season.

What is it?

We will track handicap index changes for the Chicago golf season (April 1 to October 31).  Prizes will be awarded after the end of the season (likely at the 2024 Spring Kickoff event) for the Most Improved Player, as well as 1st and 2nd place runner-ups.

This is a free contest for Chicago Metro Chapter members.  It is separate from the national Biggest Loser Handicap Challenge run by LPGA Amateurs HQ.

How do I enter?

You are automatically entered if you keep your handicap with CDGA and list LPGA Amateurs as your home club.  You don’t have to do anything!

If you keep your handicap with another CDGA club or another state handicap service provider, you can still participate but you may need to contact our Handicap Chair.  First - please check whether you are already entered by going to the Player Info / Players list.  If your name is on the list, please make sure your handicap information is correct (click on your name for details).

If you are not on the Players list, or if your handicap information is not correct, please email the Handicap Chair Julie Suh at handicap@lpgaamateurschicago.com.  Please include your name, handicap service (which state will suffice), home club and GHIN # if you know it (CDGA members - it's the Handicap ID listed on your Handicap Label, not your CDGA #).

Rules:

  • Must have an official handicap index as of April 1 of this season
  • Must post at least 5 18-hole or 10 9-hole rounds this season
  • Calculation based on USGA formula for Most Improved Player

GOOD LUCK!!!
